Hand loan of Rs 30000 paid in Febuary, 2011 which he promised to pay

An amount of Rs 30,000 was given as hand loan to Shri Mahesh Khendalwal, Nagpur which he promised to return by issuing two cheques of Rs 28,000 dated 15 Feburary, 2011 and Rs 2000 Dated 24 March, 2011 but cheque of Rs 2000/-was not realized by bank due to fund not sufficient on 1st June, 2011 by Syndicate Bank Nagpur. Mahesh repeatedly told that when he will have money he will pay. He has not renturned the loan amount till date. What to do legally? Is nay Limitation to get legal remedy?

According to information you provided in your question validity of both clearance & of cheques is expired limitation period of legal action also expired.
