Given a friendly Loan to a friend a amount of 10 lakhs.

I have given 10,00,000/- ( seven lakhs ) to my friend, some amount in cash and some amount to bank account. He paid me intrest for few months and Now he was refusing to give me the money. I have taken a cheque from him as a surity. Can i get my money back while a filing the case in court.

hi if you have the cheques with you then you could deposit them in bank after thar if the cheque is bounced to due to insufficient funds then you could initiate legal proceedings by sending statutory notice and then you could file cheque bounce case in court or for suit for recovery of money

you can get your money back by filing a cheque Bounce case under NI act 138 once check all the documents and is there any agreement between you and that party if yes then please do share me then only we can proceed initially we need to send a legal notice if it does not workout then we can proceed with the case

Yes , you will recover the amount if you file cheque dishonour case in the court.

Do you have any promissory note along with the cheque?

Cash receipt for the cash given by you?

yes you can do that if you have a property that stands in name of that friend you can file a civil suit and get the property attached if not it will be better you can file criminal case against him for 138 ni act
