Cheque bounce case. Given some amount in cash and some thru online

Respectful lawyers, I am from chennai. At the period of 2016 to 2018 I've given a huge sum of amount to 3 peoples of same family. At 2020 I have asked them to repay it, all of them produced one cheque each with only principle amount filled in those. All those cheques got bounced and I've sent an legal notices to all 3. Now they have replied that they are liable only for the amount which I've transferred to their account thru Internet banking.
My questions are
1. What about my money which I've lended them in cash?
2. Due to covid 19, my advocate has informed me that filing cases is not possible now. But the actual time limitation period is on 30th May 2021. Can I file the cases now beyond the actual time limit?
In some Courts cases can be filed. Delay is not a big issue here. How much is total amount lent? how much is cheque amount? I need complete details of the case so that I can guide you further. I also need to check legal notice and reply.
