Hello,I earn 4 lakhs/month salary (after taxes in Europe). After basic expenses 1 lakh/month savings. Savings amount 50 lakhs. No other assets.My wife BE graduate (Unemployed. No source of income/asset). 1 daughter 3.5 year old. Married for 5.5 years. 1) How much max. monthly maintenance and alimony will court order to pay for wife and child? How to reduce amount payable?2) Can I transfer my savings amount to my parents account or any idea exclude from calculation? Any timeline to consider?

The issue of providing maintenance to the wife has become an unruly tool to harass husbands in many cases. There are genuinely suffering wives as well. Your salary being sound the Court may order you to pay a maximum of Rs.1.5L to both your wife and child. However it depends on the entirety of your assets and liabilities and it is the same for your spouse too. For this reason the Supreme Court had already mandated a detailed affidavit of assets and liabilities.

Dear Sir/Madam,I have received a legal notice from wife stating all false allegations and finally calling for mutual consent for divorce. In this case, should i reply to the legal notice or just give mutual consent through an advocate or can i contact the advocate who sent me the legal notice? What will be the procedure for mutual consent and fees structure for advocate?

It is always advisable to offer a reply to the legal notice so that you can fix your intention before anything changes on the other side. Divorce by mutual consent will be possible only when both parties sail together until the decision of the court. It is better to have an advocate from your side. Or you can also go with the advocate engaged by your wife.

Q: Rdo not ready to giving order letter

Rdo not ready to give cancellation order for who bought delayed birth certificate used wrong information. Greater Chennai corporation said that, once you get order copy from the rdo, will cancell the delayed birth certificate from our side. But rdo say I don't have right to cancell previous order copy... Please reply
