Firstly there is no loan named as student loan, it will be education loan. Terms of every educational loan is that the borrower should start repay the loan by installments after completion of study and there is one year benifit given by the bank,

It's called 13(2) notice. Or in layman term DEMAND notice. Now tell me did you father signed the documents and is their any mortgage like flat or house. How much was the loan amount?? How much you have paid? Is the account NPA by the bank? If you flat/house is mortgage they will come after the flat/house. Do you want to do OTS(one time settlement) with the bank? And if you want to file anything the appropriate forum is Drt( Debt Recovery Tribunal) in which you have to file a S.A. Now for further information contact us through lawrato we are a firm situated at high court and please bring all the documents regarding the loan and also bring latest account statement of the loan account.
