Rights of mother and sister in fathers property

18-Apr-2023 (In Property Law)
What are the rights of my mother and my unmarried sister who is staying with me in Delhi in a property that my father purchased but my father died in 1991. Also, i would like to know what are the rights of my mother and sister in a property that my father inherited from his father ( my grandfather) ? The amendments to hindu succession act in 1997 and 2005 are considered.

In both the properties, your mother and your sisters have equal share irrespective of their marital status. Your mother and sisters can seek partition in your father's property. If you really want the whole property under your supervision , you can do so with the help of relinquishment deed. If all the other member signed in your favour than their rights are automatically ceased. It depends on you how you convince them. Revert me if any problem occur. Best of luck.

Sir,

In self acquired your mother sister and you have equal share.
In ancestral property your sister don't have a right.
