Can a wife claim share in husband's property what percentage

Main sikh family se samband rakhta hoon .kya india law ke mutabik marriage ke baad wife ka husband ki property par hissa hota hai .aur main janna chahta hoo .yadi hota hai kitne percentage hota hai?
Wife can claim only maintenance from the husband and she will have no personal rights in the property of her husband during the lifetime of her husband. But if husband is not providing any maintenance to his wife, only then wife can can get create the charge in the property of husband. In short wife has no right in the property of husband during his life time.

Dear my friend first of all we all sikh are considered under hindu law in constitution of india.so all hindu act is equally liable on sikh also.your question is wife claim on husband property.the answer is yes.according to new hindu divorce law now wife can claim on 50% of husband residential property.under section 13f amendment bill wife can claim property acquired by her husband both before and after marriage.she will enjoy both ancestral and self acquired property of husband.before this wife only claim for monthly maintenance.but here still some legal remedies husband can take help to save his property.but this is all depends on your lawyer how he put your case.thanks
