Forceful marriage by parents now girl is mentally physically tortured

A friend of mine has been forcefully married by her parents on 10th October 2016, she says there's been some collusion between her parents and the other party. Her parents had taken money from the other party for the marriage of her younger sister 1 year back promising that they'll marry the elder daughter (my friend) To their son. She's been physically and emotionally tortured. Her parents said that they'll end their lives if she refuses to marry the guy.now after 5-6 days of marriage she's unwillingly living with her in laws because she don't have any place to live as she cannot go back to her parents house. Even the boy she married hasn't come home since the marriage.Is there any way out? Can the marriage be annulled? The marriage is Hindu marriage.
Yes, definately, no one can be forced to live with other person without his/ her consent and in case your friend is minor, even you can come to her rescue but if she is major, she need to show some courage to come out of her matrimonial home and certainly she can file appropriate proceedings before appropriate forums right from seeking divorce to take action against the concerned persons. It all depends upon the peculiar facts of your case.

it is a very complicated situation. Your friend first needs to find out a place where she could go and stay. Only then she could think of availing her legal remedies. As far as annulment of marriage is concerned, as per law she can file divorce after one year of marriage as per facts given by you. She could meanwhile avails her remedies provided under criminal law. The things would be bit difficult for her without the support of her parents.
