Among all Hindu communities except the Nambootiris, cousin marriage was popular. A boy had a rightful claim to marry the daughter of his maternal uncle or paternal aunt. Among some Hindus one could marry one's sisters daughter such as Reddiar's and Tamil Brahmins.
I your custom allows the said marriage, you can proceed ,otherwise it will be void.

According to Hindu Law it is coming under prohibited degree of relationship. But if there is a custom which permits it you can do so. In kerala there is a custom permitting marriage of fathers's sister's daughter.
