A specific query related to 1st class judicial magistrate

06-May-2024 (In Family Law)
Today I went to bank to claim the F.D. Of my father who passed away. The bank manager told me to provide him- I. Letter of disclaimer Ii. Letter of relinquishment He told me to get these verified from a 1st class judicial magistrate. I contacted my nearby lawyer, he told me- 1st class judicial magistrate does not deal with this sort of things. He told me he can get these documents verified from a notary. Is he telling me the truth that It can't be done from a 1st class judicial magistrate?

Yes. From your query it can be understood that your bank might have asked for documents which are taken in oath before the Ld. Magistrate (First Class). Well if your bank has specifically asked for Magistrate certified documents, then only get it done by your local Jurisdictional Court. Regards
