Being Forced for Registry marraige by a female colleague

18-Jul-2023 (In Family Law)
I am being forced by a female colleague for registry marraige. I never wanted to marry her & neither want to be with her. Now she threatens to go police & file case on me. Backdrop:- I started speaking to her with no intentions to get close or marry or getting physical. But with time and circumstances we had physical relationship, I clearly told that time I do not want to get married, She told its okey neither she wants. After sometime I started refusing. But she kept coming, kept knocking on my doors at night and most of the time threatened to shout & go to police to complain that I have shown the address of my room. So It continued. As I stay alone and both of us kept it a secret, I did not discuss anything about this to anyone (which has become my greatest fault). Some weeks back she got pregnant and she asked me to registry. I declined and told her I never wanted this & neither she did (on pregnancy). She aborted. Now she asks for Registry. What are my options?

what ever you have done is contrary to law and you have to face the consequences as because both of you are guilty and at present scinerio the verdict will go in favour of the girl, hence seek opinion of an advocate and if possible get the matter settled out side the court amicably .

Firstly you should have taken protective measures so that your colleague did not concieve. You are requested not to sign any document under pressure and not opt for registry of marriage. Various courts have stated that a girl of matured age cannot accuse a man of rape charges when there was a joint consent. You are requested to visit a lawyer and inform him of every details so that for your protection in the near future can be taken.

You are in great troubles my friend. If you do not agreed with her, then she definitely lodged a complaint before the concern Police Station against you for Rape Charge upon her. Once you get physical contact with a women, whether willingly or not, you have been taped. Now my opinion is to settled the mater amicably and if in between both of you have relation with each other at least 2 years or more (friendly) then there will be a way. Please discuss it with an advocate personally. Not in this way.
