Have applied for passport while the case for divorce is still pending

Hi Sir, Me and my wife have filed for MCD in the last month, So now the cooling period is 6 months (Sep). Can I apply for new passport, even though I have mutual divorce case running. Or should I wait for the case to get completed.

Yes you can apply for passport. Once you apply for passport police verification will be done. It is done to check out your previous records. But still if there is any queries ask the govt official in passport office. Please feel free to contact me.

Ans: you can still apply for the passport. However, you need to mention the current marital status in your application.

It is the case of divorce. You have not informed of the mode of divorce like it is by mutual consent or by divorce on other ground.
If there is any Criminal complaint against you, then you should wait or the authority will ask you to clarify such things. I hope it is not here
You can apply for pass port. There is no restriction on you to apply. not required for waiting.
