If a friend attacks me from behind, beats me up just to take out his aggression can I sue him? What is the procedure? What will be the charges levied on him? What is punishment for such kind of assault?
Under section 351 of Indian Penal Code you can file criminal case against him. If he is your friend why is he going physical with you? and if such is the case you decide whether to continue your friendship with him or not. Rest i have suggested to you make a complaint against him.
