Car Sold but never received payment

I bought a car from this person in mid 2023. He lost the RC card and was not entirely honest on the state of the car. He says he filed a police report for the loss of the RC card but never followed up or gave an update on the situation.
Then in February 2024 , he said he would buy the car back from us and will sort out the issues himself. He agreed to pay an amount of Rs 55,000 for the car.
He came and picked the car and has not paid me and keeps making excuses. I need help.
