Dear sir ,you should have hired an advocate .there are many occasions when an advoacte cam guide you what steps need to b taken by you during the investigation of the case . it will become more necessary when investigation officer is biased in his function. for more quiry u have to meet me personally.

There is no rule whether you can hire advocate before or after presenting the chalan but it is best suggested to hire an advocate if you can't handle the matter on your own and don't have the legal expertise.

Spending money on fees is far much better than sleeping in Jails.

As i can see you've put the question under Criminal law, hire an advocate asap. The chances of getting bail is more before the chalan is presented and YES, the influence of an advocate can help you the delay the procedure.
