Yes you can change your lawyer for withdrawing the cases however for 498a you need to file a case in high court for quashing of proceedings in 498a. I hope it will help you to proceed further in your case.

Dear one, you can't withdraw the criminal suit once it has been filed and in process. If you want to withdraw or close the suits filed, there is a legal process, you have to follow. Yet, between the process of suits you can change your lawyer for your choice any time.

You have right to change lawyer anytime but NOC from existing lawyer must be taken before engaging another lawyer. Withdrawal of any case from the court depends upon various legal provisions for a particular section.

Hello,

The fact is that you cannot go for another lawyer without informing the present lawyer. In case you wish to change the lawyer you have to obtain a NOC from the lawyer whose Vakalatnama is there on record.

The cases are withdrawn at the instance of the parties and not at the behest of the counsels so another lawyer duly engaged may withdraw the case without any difficulty. The important things is that either the erstwhile counsel has to give the no objection certificate or the vakalatnama shall be filed strengthened by the affidavit of the appearing party.
