Need information on accidental insurance

My phone's accidental insurance claim was rejected on the grounds that "THE SUBJECT CLAIM IS NOT ADMISSIBLE UNDER EXCLUSION 10 - Loss or damage caused by willful negligence, Improper handling (No proper care of handset has been taken by insured to safeguard the property)."" However, the situation was entirely accidental and what is the point of accidental insurance if it does not cover accidents and companies get away by stating willful negligence?

if you are unhappy with your insurance company Approach the Grievance Redressal Officer of its branch or any other office that you deal with.
Click here for mail ids of Grievance Redressal Officers, GRO, of all insurance companies
Give your complaint in writing along with the necessary support documents
Take a written acknowledgement of your complaint with the date.
The insurance company should deal with your complaint within 15 days.

If that does not happen or if you are unhappy with their solution you can:
Approach the Grievance Redressal Cell of the Consumer Affairs Department of IRDA:

you can also send them a legal notice and file a case in the consumer forum as well.
