Falsely accused for cutting down a tree

04-May-2023 (In Civil Law)
Sir , we wanted to cut a tree grown outside our house. We live on ground floor. And since the roots were entering and disrupting our tiles we wanted to bring it down . My dad submitted the required papers and photos plus Rs. 6000 to the bmc . But the offcials just trimmed the branch and went away. After two months the tree has kind of dried up and some one has removed the bark off the tree. Now the officials landed up at my place today and are saying that we are trying to kill the tree and he might put my dad behind the bars! But my dad did not do anything!! Please help . I am very tensed .

If a case is filed against your father for cutting down of the tree, you need to prove in the court that the tree dried up itself and someone removed the bark of the tree and it was not done by your father.
