Bank asking me to pay money what to do

i took a pl of 42000 fromcitifinancial in2007 and payed in some amount in cash for closue mpw the citi is taken over by kotak mahindra and they are asking me to pay rs 45000 and calling me to do so and saying that we are taking legal action u have to pay now i dont have ant reciept and they dis not contact me till dec 2016 plz advise can ther go legal what could be done
If the said opposite party contacted you after 3 years from the date on which the loan became due, then the said opposite party is not eligible to claim their loan as they are time barred. And thus, you can ignore the legal notices. However, you can search for the closure documents which stated that the loan as been closed on the said date and after payment of last installment.

Dear friend, you are not mention your problem completely as per your details you got pl in 2007 for Citi finance afterwards when you paid final or last EMI? Are you got any NOC from company? When you got Notice or Letter from Kotak? Please write the whole problem then I can give a satisfactory advice. Thank you.
