Can I file RTI to know about daughter who is in her mother's custody

Hi

You can not get the information through RTI.

Still you can proceed to the court for custody/access to the child. Thus is the only way to get custody of the child.
Even if you don't want custody you can avail access to the child through court

you wont be able to get this information through RTI. Either you need to check in her school if you are aware which school she goes to.. or else you can put the custody / assess petitioner for the same. court can pass an order and give the equal right to both the parents.

Right to Information Act, 2005 is not applicable to private entities or person. You can approach appropriate Court of Law or the Family Court to seek custody of your child or access of her, as the case may be on the grounds available to you. You also need to exhibit the Court that why the custody (if you want the same) of daughter is as per query is with your wife, required to be disturbed.
