cheque bounce case due to no money how to deal

14-Aug-2023 (In Cheque Bounce Law)
I have a cheque bounce case against me. My father got loan from a private finance, so I gave them a blank cheque for surety. My father unable to repay the loan hence the filed a case against me for cheque bounce due to insufficient fund in my account. The case is going for past one year. I'm ready to pay the loan amount, but what they asking from me is too much. I'm unable to give them such amount. What can I do now? Also is there possible to get arrested? If so, how do I get bail? Kindly help me in this.

First you would have taken a contention that the cheque was given as security and not for payment under 138 NI Act so they can't file a case for cheque bouncing instead they would have filed it for money recovery. Anyways tell your advocate to convey about the higher amount which other side is quoting can't be payable from you and the same may be reduced to settle the matter and your lawyer can mention it to the court by submitting the proper calculation etc .keep in touch with your advocate to do the needful. Its the discretionary power of the court.
