I lent money to a person now he is absconding. How to recover money ?

One of my known person took around 18 lakhs from me in small small payments. we have signed agreements worth 15 lakhs.I also have 2 cheques , one 6 lakhs and other 9 lakhs.Now, that person is absconding. what should i do.?

You can file suit for recovery on basis of agreement and. Have 2 cheques for so u can file 138 cases as well to punish the culprit and recover the amount or attachments orders also be issued by the court

firstly you should deposit the the cheques in bank for encashment, surely same would be dishonored and thereafter file the case u/s 138 ni act on the base of cheques as well as agreement. In case of absconding, his property will be attached movable or immovable by the court. You may consult for further assistance. Thanks.

How do you know that the person is absconding?
If he is then, the right remedy is to file a criminal complaint against that person with Police.
If you have the address, where he could be then please file civil recovery suit and 138 case as well.

Did you file any case before court of law if yes what is that not cleard from your querry you may file two cases 1 case under 138 NIAct or you may go for recovery if you say he is absconding then case for recovery is better in whitch you can have decree against him and his property can be attached
