Friend took money to book the hotel room but not returning it

i asked my travel agent friend to book hotel for 2 different stay, one for me and one for my family and paid INR 50,000 for the stay. The day of my visit he did not book my hotel and said he is bankrupt and can't do my bookings. He said he will return the money and i have the bank transactions and his whatsapp chat as proof. Its been 6 months and he has not returned my money and neither now responding to my calls and messages. What to do ?

You hv to file a case for fraud ... and court will automatically send notice to your friend ...in case he will not respond accordingly... arrest order can also b filed against your friend for further assistance contact me

You can first send him a legal notice through a lawyer asking him to return the money and in case if he does not comply, you can file a consumer complaint against him for deficiency of service demanding amount paid with interest along with damages for mental harassment

it would be suggested that you file a police complaint in the nearest police station near hour office or house. write the complete scenario and complete picture in your complaint. also annex the complete original documents along with your complaint.

A legal notice may be sent to him for demanding the recovery of money along with interest and legal fee involved. Further, a suit for recovery of money may be instituted before a competent court having jurisdiction.
