What document are required to get property of a mother after her death

10-May-2023 (In Property Law)
My mother was co-owner of my flat and she passed away last. I have one brother. Would getting a NOC from my brother be sufficient for transferring the flat on my name selling later or do I have to go through the heirship process?

Dear Querist, it totally depends on the society and its committee members. if they are willing to accept the NOC from your brother as proof for transmission, then thats good. or else you will have to apply for heir-ship certificate and strikeoff/ delte your mother's name.
