share of sister in fathers property died before 25th aug 2005

Can I know whether my sister can claim a share in our fathers self aquaried property? Dose she? Father passed away on 25th of Aug 2005 before the amendment passed and the house documents was in his name. Sister took away our house documents and filed a case in court in 2015. We are Indian Christian. My mother is with me in position and am married. Pls help me in clear solution?
for Indian Christians only Indian succession Act follows in which women have equal right in the property. Only for Hindus the amendment act follows. you sister is one of the legal heir. she has partition rights. you can file a police complaint that the document is missing in bus stand or else where and get no-objection certificate. it is equivalent to hold a certified document in the place of original.
