Sale of property by separated husband when wife and children are alive

My sister's husband who is living separately is trying to sell the house ( house regn documents in his name) without the consent from his wife and two children (who are major).What can my sister do (hindu family and she is taking care of them) to prevent him from selling the house. Pl help Sir.
If they are legally separated there might have been a settlement which is applicable to both the parties. If the property is the self acquired property of the husband he can give it as he wish . Only in the case of ancestral property the children can claim their share.
