wife can execute a release deed in favour of either her husband or any other relative. this will not attract heavy stamp duty payable to government and the husband becomes absolute owner with full title.

To remove your wife as a co-owner from the house title you have to execute a release deed or relinquishment deed in your favour with your wife's consent. This will make you the absolute owner of the property.
