Legal procedure to recover the joint family property

Dear Sir/Mam, I have a property at Rajarhat New Township,kolkata in my father's name by document(new parcha) but we are in Bombay by residence and job for 35 years. A person is being living on that property by constructing house with permission of my father from 35 years and recently my father passes away. I wanted to possess our property but they did not agree with me at this moment.We want to recorver it. Is it possible as per legal
