How can I de-register a property due to bad neighbourhood

11-Dec-2023 (In Property Law)
Hi, I own a 2 BHK, purchased in ~2005 in Bhivandi city,Maharashtra,India. After staying there, I realized the neighborhood is the worst which anyone can get. I do not want to get to Police or do not want to take any legal action against the neighborhood as I do not have time and money to do so Now, I do not want to stay there and also do not want to sell the property as I do not wish anyone else to face the problem which I have faced. I am ready to take full loss of the amount which I have paid for the house. Is there a legal way which will help me to dissociate myself from that property? So that after abandoning the property I am in no way responsible for the flat. Note : Home loan against the property is already finished & I have no liability with bank or builder or society.

As per your query

First and foremost you can stop living there and shift to any other place you wish to reside. If society is registered inform the society (in writing) that you are shifting and will come there only for visits for which you will have to pay Non Occupation charges. Intimate the nearest police station the reason behind shifting. Also inform the new address to the Postal department for all your correspondence to drop them at new address.
