Dear Client
Self-acquired property is any property that is purchased or inherited by an individual with their own money. It is not considered part of the family's joint property and can be disposed of by the owner as they see fit. The division of self-acquired property is relatively straightforward and can be done through a simple sale or gift deed.
Ancestral property is any property that is inherited from one's ancestors. It is considered part of the family's joint property and all members of the family have a right to a share in it. The division of ancestral property can be more complex and may require the intervention of a court.
