so the current property we reside in, as per legal documentation is owned by my father and grandmother as co owners. my grandmother passed away without leaving a will, and she has 4 children including my father. What is the procedure for the sale of such land, as there is no specification as to how much each of the co owners own . catholic

As per law as your grandmother had half share in property and father has half share, now when your grandmother expired her half share will be divided equally between her sons including your father, so in 1/2 share grand mother's 4 children will take 1/4 th share, so your father will get his half share and 1/4 share in grandmother property. firstly you have to get the death certificate and then get legal heirs certificate, then get the names of legal heirs entered in property records there after all can sell the property or get it divided and take your share of property.
