Builder Deviates From Agreed Dimensions

21-Dec-2023 (In Property Law)
Hello, I have baught a 2bhk flat and the same has been registered and a construction agreement is in place. I discovered that there is issues with the dimensions that is being built. Example the hall is reduced by nearly 2 ft width. What should I do? I have reached the bank and informed to stop payment until further notice from me.

You need to send legal notice through a lawyer to the builder stating all the discrepancies with respect to the agreed dimensions. This act also amounts to cheating and is punishable under the Indian Penal Code as well as the RERA Act.
