Advice how to get the share in the property of the demise father

11-Oct-2023 (In Property Law)
My father inherited a property vide apartition deed dating back to 1952 and was in undisputed possession of it.I'm his only child and hence the document remained as such .After his sudden demise ,I could'nt trace any related documents such as patta or previous tax receipt. The land is still in my possession, but I' m not able to find the new sy.no.I've perused FMB,A register and other documents in sy.dept, registration dept.,taluk office and village office. From the neighbouring land details the patta no.was rightly guessed, but neither my father's name or my grandfather's name figure in it.The revenue village has been split several times .Please suggest remedy

The only way is to apply for a Taluk Surveyor to measure the property with the help FMB and this would definitely help you to trace the property's identity with all subsequent changes of survey number or any bifurcation took place and all. After that you can approach Village Officer to pay the land tax in your name by showing your legal heirship certificate and death certificate of your father. He will definitely would say that you have to approach Taluk Officer as there is big gap in default of paying the land tax. Then they will enquire the matter and grant you to pay the tax in your name provided all documents are intact. If you need any further assistance kindly contact me. Thanks
