I invented something at work and I want to know my rights.

I am the R AND d head at my company, and I made an invention. Now my company wants to patent it. (I will myself file the patent). I want to know what rights I have to place my name on the patent? Why does my ho get all the credit? I don’t have an employment contract, only an offer letter. Please tell me what are my rights to place my name on the patent for what I invented while at work?

That depends upon the arrangement you have with the company whether it is a contract of service or a contract for service. The same can only be assessed after receiving pertinent information from tour side: offer letter, hr policies, salary slips etc.
