I want to leave my bed in hostel due to certain circumstances but landlord is forcing me to stay for atleast 2 months given that I have been here since two days and haven't signed any lease right now but have paid him in advance for one month through bank transfer...is there any way I can get my money back or can only stay for one month only without signing any agreement

without signing of an agreement there is nothing binding on you to stay their , but you have paid some amount as advance by bank transfer its another things, if you want to your money back by land lord then must be force him for return your money and you have to right to inform police first and write that you are paid this amount as advance and land lord is not giving facility as shown by him at the time of advance, so you do not entered in agreement, so you are free from your money back.

Once u had occupied the rented premises than u r liable to pay rent which u had already paid so u can’t get it back but landlord can’t force u to stay for at least 2 month in the absence of any written agreement in this regard and u can vacate the rented premises within one month
