rent, deposit and misbehavior of flatmates. How to end the torture ?

On 3rd May 2017 10:00 PM, I returned to the flat and the other two girls sharing the same flat started shouting and abused me for no reason. They started calling me prostitute and all. The girls were so loud that all the society members including guards heard them using filthy words against me. The harassment was to the extent that I had to take help from Kalewadi police at 2:00 AM to go back to the flat to collect my documents (mark sheets, employment letter etc.) as both the girls were so violent and warned me to destroy my documents. I have paid rent of 5000 and security deposit of 15000. Can I file harassment case against these girls?
You can file a complaint on the nearest police station for defamation under section 499, IPC and criminal intimidation under section 503, IPC to destroy your property.
