Rent agreement Colour clause issue

I am staying in a rented apartment in pune since four years and have agreement with the landlord from Nov 2019 to July 2023 means total of 4 agreements 2019- 20 , 2020-2021 , 2021-2022, & 2022 - 2023 which has ended on 18 july 2023 and the landlord has 40k deposit with him. But now he wants the house repainted which was only mentioned in the rental agreement from 2020 - 2021 and in the other 3 year’s agreement it is nowhere mentioned especially the latest agreement. So this is even valid? Help
Well, you have to follow the terms & conditions of the latest Rent Contract which you have executed with your landlord being a tenant. It will be in your best interest to rely upon the latest Rent Agreement or Contract & it will merely remain binding between the two as per the Indian Contract Act, 1872
