Possession Delay and Rent not Received

Hello Sir,
I am a tenant and have a flat in a private redevelopement project in mumbai which is under construction. This project is ongoing since last 10years and till date have not received the posession. The builder has started his construction in 2018 and promised the posession by 2020. Now the construction has been stoped from last 8 months, 75% work is done. Builder says due to lack of funds the work is delyed. He was paying us rent regulary for last 9 year, but now he has stopped paying the rent from last 8 months.
Kindly advise what are the legal process to get my pending rent immediately and posession of the flat.
This is my response to you:
1. You can send a legal notice;
2. If it is RERA registered then file complaint to rera office;
3. For this lockdown period, you will not be able to seek remedy;
4. Consult a local lawyer and take steps.
