Legal procedure to obtain rent dues and evict the tenant

I purchased a new flat in November 2016.let out the premises.Tenant not paid rent from may 2017.How can I proceed to collect rent and evict the tenant.?
It is not clear if you held any rental deposit and if so whether it has been adjusted against the rental arrears. Please arrange to issue a legal notice demanding delivering up vacant possession of the flat within 15 days and payment of rental arrears up-to-date. If no response, proceed to file a suit for eviction.
