Got show cause notice of my tenant who is not residing at my place

15-Oct-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
I received an envelope by name of my mother , from an unknown person , which is received by my servant at home , when open that envelope I saw a show cause notice in which my previous tenant name mentioned on it . That tenant is no more in my premises , also not paid my rent , on envelope my mother name , and inside notice to previous tenant , I don't want to reply to sender , as notice from Hyderabad . That tenant is not in my place since last 1 year . DTDC courier . So if sender issue such kind of envelope nd inside notice to them , should I avoid it . I don't want to reply .

You can inform the court that the tenant no longer lives at your residence. Or you can try contacting the tenant to inform him that you have received a notice addressed to him. You can reply stating that the tenant has vacated your premises a long time back.
