122 flat owners are staying in 2 nine storied buildings constructed by developer on Existing society's land which is on 99 years of lease from PMC. Existing society has land at 4 different places which has all bungalow plots while our 2 building have 122 flats. We have decided to divide the existing society into 2. Our 2 buildings are geographically separated in municipal records also. AGM passed resolution for a separate society. Can we get separated?

Any society may, by resolution under section 148 of the Cooperative Societies Act, referred to as a “preliminary resolution” passed by three-fourths of the members present and voting at a special general meeting called for the purpose, resolve to divide itself into 2 or more societies.
