Evacuee property Redevelopment/Ownership

I am the Tenant of Cessed Building Manage By Asstt Custodian of Evacuee Properties Maharashtra Government. As of Now Building is Old and we are thinking of Redevelopment. So i want to know how can we get ownership by the Government. The developer is saying he will tackle with Govt for the Ownership then he will redevelop the building. So i want to know is it possible or not.
