Court not accepting to deposit rent in court. What to do now?

13-Oct-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)

I am the legal tenant since 70 years in Pune, But the owner filed the case in the Pune court for my room's possession. Now he is no more. After filing the matter, their legal heir never turned up and the court has dismissed the matter. During the courts procedure I had deposited my rent in the court. Today I had been to the court with written request to allow me to deposit the rent, but the court didn't allow. The landlord is not co-operating to accept the rent and i desire to update my rent in the court. What should i do now?

You can file an application under Section 8 of Maharastra Rent control act, wherein the court can fix the rent and thereafter you can deposit the rent.
