Can settlement amount be written in tenancy surrender agreement?

We are living in a 70 year old rented flat. Our new landlord who have purchase our house 2years earlier came to us. He is offering us money in cash to give occupancy of house. Now problem is, he is asking to write cash amount in tenancy surrender document. What should we do? What are the risk of writing amount in tenancy surrender document?

yes, it can be written in the agreement. There is no risk. It will be considered as a part of your income so make sure that you are filling the income tax returns and all. If you write the paid amount on the agreement then it will give you a legal backing if required anywhere.
