Asking my money back due to leave period gets over for more than 6 mon

What the procedure to get my amount? Can I ask for principal amount along with interest from owner for extended period?
In this case, normally a rental agreement clause mentioned about the advance amount should be interest-free deposit so you can't claim interest. I have a vast practice in that area you can seek my assistance in your matter.
