All clauses support landlord can I get refund of the security deposit

06-Jul-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
Unfortunately I had signed the aggreement in which it was written in last clause that if i vacate the flat before 11 month the 2 month deposit which i gave them is forebitted. All the clauses support only to the landlord not any single one in tenant favour. Please advice me that can i do something to get atleast 1 month deposit back. I gave them the post dated cheque for every month rent also.

You should have read the agreement carefully before signing the same. However, Initially for the recovery of your security amount, you should send a legal notice through an advocate to your landlord asking for a refund of security money. If the landlord doesn't refund the security money then you can file a suit for recovery of dues in the concerned civil court.
