What can be done if RO reject privillege leave filed by an employee

11-Jul-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
An employee of a central PSU was transferred illegally and in contravention to the applicable service rules. Employee filed an application for Privilege Leave. Can his Reporting Officer (RO) reject application for PL filed by by himwithout assigning any reason for such rejection. In case of such rejection of privilege leave the employee had submitted the PL application to the HR Department. However, HR Dept. also rejected the leave.Later the employer revoked the transfer orders and asked the employee to report to his previous RO who rejected his PL application. What is the remedy for the employee, considering the fact his salary was deducted for the leave period.

For this you need to go through the leave policy of that particular company. However you can write them a letter and ask the reason of rejection of leave. Further if they do not reply you can send them a legal notice atating your demands and recovery of the salary money which is due with the company. As the last option you can also file a recovery suit against them under the provisions of Civil Procedure code.
