Premature resignation from service before bond period

I had joined a PSU in 2012. At the time of joining, I had to sign a 5 lac service agreement bond for 6 years from date of joining. Due to personal reason I had to move to a different city. My request for transfer was rejected so, I was forced to resign in 2017. My resignation is not yet accepted and settlement not made as bond amount is not payed yet. Now company has send me a legal notice that legal proceedings will be started against me. Kindly advice.
