Legal remedy in case Company didn't pay salary after resignation

Company didn't pay salary after resignation, so I am not going to submit company assets so now company call me and threaten submit laptop otherwise we file a compliment in court but I m sure if I submit laptop than company will not pay anything, so what should I do please suggest and advice. Thanks
to start with you can send them a legal notice asking them to release your payment and clear your dues. in case they still don't pay you then you can file a suit for recovery or in case you fall under labour laws then can approach the labour commission seeking remedy
