How to proceed after breaking an employment bod

16-Aug-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
Hello, I am an employee of a firm. I joined as fresher and signed a bond of 2 years which will end on 25th August 2018. I have put the resignation letter on 19th june and notice period is of 3 months so, last date is in September. I am serving 2 years and whole notice period. Still, HR is asking me to pay bond money of 2 lacs. HR says since I have put my resignation before completing 2 years. I will have to pay the bond. In bond, it is mentioned that I cannot leave, resign, abandon or give reason for resignation in 2 years of period. Please help what step should I take?

Hi, as per the query it is understood that you have signed an undertaking of 2 years with the current company. Though you have resigned, but the separation date is considered as the last working day and if you have completed 2 years as on last working day then the company cannot compel you to pay 2 lacs of the undertaking value. Please take help of an advocate to send a legal notice to your employer.
